patents belonging to Jeanneau, demonstrating the ongoing and consistent capacity
for innovation held by each member of the Jeanneau team. Thanks to these technological
accomplishments, to the construction methods, to the careful attention to detail
during production, and to rigorous controls, the reliability of our boats has
become world renowned. This reliability was formally recognized when, in 1994,
Jeanneau was officially awarded ISO 9002 certification in fiberglass boatbuilding
ISO 9001 in 2001 and ISO 14001 in 2004.
Construction
 For
unequaled strength under all conditions.Jeanneau boats are known and recognized
for their strength and their sailing capabilities, for racing as well as cruising,
the wide world over. Safety on board is a fundamental consideration, which is
illustrated by the traditional methods of hull lamination, where the bulkheads
(structurally reinforced) and the wooden structural grid design (stringers, cross-frames)
are bonded directly underneath the entire surface or around the full perimeter.
The hulls are laminated by hand, moulded internally or by injection using the
'Prisma Process'.
The Computer-controlled carpenter
The wood furnishings on board all Jeanneau boats are produced with incredible
precision thanks to the capabilities of the 'computer-controlled carpenter' that
cuts and mills wood to within a 10th of a millimeter accuracy. Building with
wood is a tradition among the Jeanneau workers - drying out the logs is supervised
by the factory, and the solid-wood furnishings as well as the veneer trim pieces
are finished by hand.
 Kevlar
used as standard
For 15 years, Jeanneau's design office has been actively testing new materials
and new technologies. Once approved, these are very often offered in a variety
of forms for use on production series boats, as is the case with materials such
as Kevlar®. This deliberate approach allows Jeanneau to permanently improve
on the quality of its production.
